One Year Strong: Warren Reflects on His Journey with GD Allen Consultancy

It’s been a full year since Warren Killeen joined the GD Allen Consultancy team, bringing with him a wealth of experience across refrigeration, air-conditioning, property, retail, leisure, and hospitality. Warren’s extensive background in facilities and maintenance has made him an invaluable asset to the company, where he ensures the smooth operation of facility services, provides technical leadership for maintenance programmes, and consistently maintains compliance with both internal and external standards.

Reflecting on his time with the company, here’s what Warren had to say:​

In short, working with Glyn again is great! We have worked together on and off for over 10 years and it has taught us we really do work well together. We realise each other's strengths and weaknesses and instinctively know when one of us needs to fill those gaps the other has.

I spend an awful lot of time on the road seeing new towns and cities that I haven’t been to or even thought about. This is the other huge positive of doing what we do; getting out to clients and spending time with the teams on the ground makes us understand each client and their customers needs.

One of my favourite aspects of the job is dealing with site specific issues that others have been unable to resolve. More often than not a solution has surfaced and the client is pleased with the offering and seeing this process is very satisfying.

The work at times can be very intense, perhaps even stressful, but for me this is what I thrive on - I am a person who craves a full schedule and often my best work is done when under pressure.
